| The patent war: Samsung might be in serious trouble |
The fight against the two tech
giants of the world is no secret. This all started when apple filed a
38 page
federal complaint on
April 15, 2011 in the United
States District Court for the Northern District of California
alleging Samsung had infringed a large number of its patents , in
counter Samsung too filed various complaints and law suits against
apple in courts all around the world including Seoul ,Germany ,Tokyo
and many more countries by now it was clear the battle for the top
spot in the ever growing mobile computing was intensifying with
Android becoming a great threat to Apple which before had a full
dominance in the smart phone category , both the company’s had
their own share of ups and downs in the own going patent battle and
now come 2013 the war is still on with the US International Trade
Commission’s(US ITC) finding Samsung to infringe apple patents in
its mobile ,tablets and media player categories. Now the ITC has sent
the order to the president of the United States Barack Obama who will
have to review the order within 60 days and if he gives a nod Samsung
would be banned from importing a large number of its products in its
tablet and smartphone categories.
